Antique top Satin Ladies Underwear Travel Bag

This 1920's antique travel "unmentionables" bag is pastel blue satin with 6 pouches sewn together and tied up with blue ribbon ribbons attached with pettipoint embroidery appliques. The 2 outer pouches measure approx. 6" x 6" and the 4 inner pouches are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I believe it was handmade by my grandmother, who was a chorus girl with the Metropolitan Opera Company and La Scala Opera Company and traveled extensively with my grandfather, who was a stage director, in the 1920's. In addition to the undies, hosiery, jewelry and unmentionables, she also smuggled little bottles of whiskey in them during Prohibition. The pouches are wrinkled from sitting in a box for 40 or more years. It needs to be washed and ironed but I leave that up to the buyer. In very good antique used condition.
