The Japanese word mushin is commonly translated as "No-Mindedness" or, literally, "no mind" and is composed of the kanji (read mu) meaning "no; nothingness" and (read shin) meaning "heart; mind; spirit". mushin is a frame of mind when one is clear of obstructive thoughts and one can completely focus.

About The Art: The art is created on beautiful handmade paper that we purchase directly from the papermaker in Kochi Japan. This handmade paper has four deckled edges and is perfect for Western-style framing either with or without a mat.

Each work is individually brushed by Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase at the time of your order and proudly bares her seal and signature. This is not a print but is hand-brushed to match the sample as closely as possible. This is a personal work of art that is designed to last generations.
