Antique Hutschenreuther Hohenberg Lg Cabinet Plate, w Limoges top Decor 22Kt Gold

Antique Hutschenreuther Hohenberg Cabinet Plate. The maker's mark is quite unusual as it has the Hutschenreuther Hohemberg mark and then a gold mark on the top that states Limoges Decor. Perhaps Limoges is the gold or the importer? Please see the photos for your review.


The plate is quite large and measures about 10.75" wide. It is also a heavy porcelain plate. Cobalt blue on the outside rim with heavy, what appears to be, hand painted gold flowers and swags of leaves. The very outer rim is solid gold. The inside rim is gold with a nice embossed design of what appears to be medallions. The swag design is also found in the center high gloss white. The plate is just gorgeous and dates to around 1925. There are no chips, cracks or crazing noted on the plate. There is a little gold wear here and there on the plate but overall for its age, it is in lovely shape. The lovely gold on the plate is said to be 22 kt gold.
